Deployment Child Care from FCC
We are pleased to announce updated guidance for the Air
Force Family Child Care Deployment Child Care Support. FCC
Deployment Child Care now provides 48 hours of care per child.
The 48 hours may be used prior to, during, or after a deployment.
Air Force Family Child Care Deployment Child Care Support may
be used once the member has orders and is valid up to 60 days
upon return from the deployment.
Eligibility requirements
• Member of the Military Service
• Active Duty or reserve/Guard Member in Active Status
• Assigned to or working on the installation
• Deployed in support of a contingency operation
• Deployed for a minimum of 30 calendar days or personnel
who routinely deploy on a short term basis (cumulative of
30 days in a 6 month period)
• Must have a copy of deployment orders
• Completed Air Force FCC Expanded Child Care Request
Give Parents a Break

Register by Friday, 1 December.
Give Parents a Break is designed to provide child care to active
duty Air Force families with deployed or TDY spouses and those
with special hardships. Sign up to take advantage of this great
resource, and give yourself a break! Contact the participating
facilities for more information.

Ikebana Flower Arranging
Saturdays 9, 16 & 23 December • 11 am - noon
$50 • Three sessions
Immerse yourself in the Japanese culture by learning the
art of Ikebana. Ikebana is a Japanese practice in which
the fl ower arranger strives to bring nature and humanity
together. Discover more about this art form with an
experienced instructor at the Schilling Community Center.
Classes are held three Saturdays a month and supplies
are included.
Home Buying Class
Tuesdays 5, 12 & 19 December • 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$45 • One session | $70 • Two sessions
We all know the struggles and fears of PCSing. If you’re
going back to the States, odds are the thought of buying
a new home is looming over you as you prepare for
days fi lled with realtors taking you from house to house.
The Schilling Community Center offers a Home Buying
class that teaches you the process of buying a home in
the United States. You will discover all the necessary
steps to make sure you fi nd the perfect home! For more

Learn Your Letters is for children ages 3 to 5 and their
caregivers.
Parents’ Night Out

If you don’t qualify for a referral but still need a break, Parents’
Night Out is for you! For just $16 you can participate as well.
Parents’ Night Out is open to all ranks and services, but spaces
are limited and available on a fi rst come, fi rst served basis.
