Still crazy after all these years... invasive and being in a studio always makes me feel
more at home...

Sure! That's a song that I had started a long time ago
for my pervious band The Belle Brigade but I decided
to use it for my solo record when we decided to take a
break. Boiled down, the song is really about struggling
to feel content, whether it is in general or in regards to
a relationship and sort of realizing the painful
ridiculousness of not being in the moment and seeing
the beauty in front of you... T h e s i n g l e c o m e s o f f y o u r n e w a l b u m S l o w m o t i o n a r y -

The title actually comes from a lyric in my song "Short
Film" that my producer Tony Berg misheard... We
would laugh about it every time the song came on and
one day we joked that it should be the record title and
it stuck. I like it because the record is sort of heavy
and sad but the title feels lighthearted while still
describing the odd pace of the songs and the
brooding tone of the record.

Not really. Sort of a collage of experiences... When I
write about people, the characters in the songs
usually end up being a combination of several people. H o w w a s t h e r e c o r d i n g a n d w r i t i n g p r o c e s s ?
Wonderful and experimental. The whole process
really opened me up as a person and as an artist.
Everything felt uncharted for me and I really needed to
try something new at that time in my life.

It was mellow. I wouldn't say I'm very comfortable in
front of a camera but the experience wasn't too W h a t w a s i t l i k e t o w o r k w i t h T o n y B e r g a n d h o w d i d

It was amazing. Tony has become a total role model
