What role does Spokane play in your music? Chris-Spokane is our base and hometown. We all live here and are a part of it. There is a burgeoning hardcore and metal scene here that we have all made our way through. I guess we are one of the outlets for all the economic frustration of the folks who ' ve seen the decline of their livelihoods.
What aspect of US current political climate did you get to explore on this record? Ethan-Just the divide in the country right now. I try not to be preachy, I think people should inform themselves and make their own choices. This album is more about the rash of violence an how the media presents it to us and sets the people against each other, an also using those external conflicts as a metaphor for the war with ourselves and our own personal demons.
