Pros: SL has some awesome content creators. Designers offer fashionable clothing that can be easily layered for mix and match. Lower prices can often be found through Inworld stores and shopping events. "Liked" items and merchants can be added to “favorites” or “wish list.” Inventory items can be transferred between friends. Outfits can be saved. Lost items can be redelivered.
Cons: Finding designer's items in the SL Marketplace can be difficult. There is no "try-on" options in the Marketplace main page. Fairs and Inworld stores need to visited to try on demo items that are watermarked. Shopping can take more time. Lindens are expensive to buy, so you have to be careful with purchasing items from the Marketplace. New users need to make sure items can be easily unpacked or rezzed. Sometimes finding a place to rezz an object with high prims is tough. Appliers may be needed for clothing and body items to work. Lower priced Gotcha items can have delivery issues, and when lost cannot be refunded. Newbies should read ALL INFORMATION on an item in the Marketplace before buying. Navigating your personal inventory can also make dressing difficult. Like a closet in real, items need to be organized. Dressing with no visual cues can be trial and error and often can discourage users from wanting to switch their look regularly. Designers don't appear to update their shops often, possibly due to the complexity of designing.
