4 2 016 Y EA R B OOK / SA N D T ON 2016 YEAR BO O K / SA N D T O N MESSAGE FROM MESSAGE FROM DR FELICITY COUGHLAN Graduation marks one of the most important milestones of one’s life. It marks the moment at which you stop reflecting on what brought you here. More importantly that you look ahead to what you can do with what you have achieved. For some of you that may be further studies, for others the world of work and some of you may be changing direction altogether. We trust and believe that The IIE degree is the foundation on which you are going to build the future you deserve. The most important things you have learnt are not the content of any of your subjects but rather the skills acquired through mastering the content - everything from time management, argumentation and analysis to an appreciation of the interconnectedness of our society. Celebrate your achievement. Go out there and make it count! Dr Felicity Coughlan Director of The IIE 5 ANDRE LUBBE To our celebrated graduates, The last three years have been spent engaging with each of you as you tenaciously walked the long (and often winding!) path towards becoming an IIE graduate of Varsity College Sandton. Study at tertiary level is certainly not a journey without its own set of trials and tribulations. Now that you have reached your shared goals alongside your peers, we are able to celebrate the fruits of your labour. It has been a pleasure being a part of your academic career at Varsity College. On behalf of all those involved in your successful attainment of this achievement: my best wishes. At last you are able to call yourself a “graduate”. Varsity College congratulates you on this academic rite of passage and wishes you success as you begin this new chapter in your life. We wish you everything of the best for your future endeavours! Kind regards Andre Lubbe Principal Varsity College Sandton
