Hockey for South Africa
My VC sporting career has been one of the most
exciting times during my varsity career. I started
at VC in 2014 playing for their 1st hockey team
which played in the local Durban premier hockey
league for indoor and outdoor. Since then as a VC
hockey side we have gone from strength to strength.
We have been promoted from USSA B section to A
section, won the Durban outdoor league and battle
of the giants, all in 2015. This year we competed
well in the local Durban premier league with a lot
of young stars coming through and joining us from
high school and for the first time ever we won the
indoor premier league.
As a VC hockey player I have really enjoyed playing
for VC as there is always a positive environment to
grow and learn.

than only academic success, Varsity
College delights in the achievements of
all our students – real or imaginary!
The IIE BCom, IIE BA(CC) and IIE BCom
(Law) graduates were asked
to nominate a deserving classmate for
each “Most Likely” award and, based on
the collective votes, the following
graduates were selected.
