Dear Varnex Member,
First, I’d like to say I’m honored to serve as Varnex
Advisory Council President for the next two years.
Outgoing president Bruce Enright and the Council
have done a great job developing the community,
and I’m excited to keep it going.
One of the Council’s goals for 2018 is to grow
member engagement. The more engaged we all are
with things like Varnex University, the member website,
and this magazine, the more we all benefit. There’s so
much more to Varnex than conferences and events, so
please be sure to take advantage of all the tools and
resources available to you. You can find everything
you need on the Varnex member website.
We’re also encouraging members to engage more
with our vendors. They’re here to support you and help
grow your sales, so I’d like to challenge everyone to get
out of their comfort zones and make a new connection.
Talk to vendors, get to know them, see how they can
help you. Do that, and together we will grow.
Speaking of growth, Varnex University continues to
expand with more than 300 alumni to date. Let’s keep
that growth going. Registration is open for Sales Skills
and Leadership 201, both coming up
in June, so sign up now before the classes
fill up.
We’re also looking to add more global knowledge
training via online classes and webinars. Additionally,
we’re talking to some of our vendors about potentially
offering technical or sales certification training. There’s
a lot of great stuff in the works. To keep from missing
out, check in on the member website, or better yet,
actively participate in the discussion forums.
Finally, we always welcome member input. If you
have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact
me or any member of the Council. You can find our
