Non-Thermal Ablation
Two non-thermal techniques – Varithna and VenaSeal system – have
been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in
November 2013 and February 2015, respectively. The first treatment
uses medicated foam to destroy the vein permanently, whereas the
latter one uses a glue to shut off the affected vein.
