While we may have been on the other side of the world , the Vapouround brand was instantly recognised by many , which is always great to see . During the two days there were half a dozen or so stilt-walking clowns walking around the venue . I ’ m not totally sure what the idea was here but it certainly added a touch of colour to the event . Main sponsors Chubby Gorilla must have been thrilled with their exposure . Not only was their huge stand right in the centre of the hall but their branding was absolutely everywhere both inside and outside the exhibition hall . The most memorable part of the show for me was meeting the guys from Barista Brew Co . who proved so popular that their entire stock of e-liquid sold out part way through the first day . They had planned to bring much more juice with them but part of their supply got held up by customs , which is always a problem with international vape events . Wes , Joe and the team are so passionate about the vape industry and they ensured that everyone who left their stand went away happy and with a smile on their face . This show was a mix of local and national vape-related businesses with some big international names also in attendance . It was billed as an ‘ urban ’ event rather than just a vape event and there was a section of the show devoted to selling ‘ urban ’ clothing and street wear including t-shirts , footwear and accessories . I felt that this idea worked very well indeed . Food and drink can often be a little hit and miss at vape events but not at this show . There was a huge food court directly outside the venue where you could get a wide selection of tasty meals and snacks from dozens of catering trucks . I enjoyed my first visit to Indonesia and it was great to experience the Indonesian vape scene first hand . I can ’ t wait to come back but I will be undoubtedly take ear protection with me next time .
