N F E R EVENTS H VAPITALYPRO 2019 November 9-10. Fiera Roma Exhibition Centre Words: Zeahna Young This November, our travels took us to the classically stunning Rome for Vapitaly PRO – The B2B Connection, and I can’t think of a more aptly chosen locale for a business networking event. Every detail, down to the music played at the stage throughout the expo (Jazz, my favourite!), was elegantly attended to by the organisers. The two-day show featured such carefully-curated conversations regarding topics such as what to do when a smoker enters your store, how to communicate to the online and offline sector without making mistakes and how to behave when the Guardia di Finanza (the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance) enters your business. And, of course, no current forum would be complete without a discussion on a look at vaping in America and its possible impacts in Europe. Overall, the sessions proved to be quite informative for expo visitors and the first day culminated in a chic networking evening for its exhibitors. While the Pro edition of Vapitaly was smaller than the spring edition, there was a plethora of brands and distributors alike exhibiting in Rome. Bringing some fun to visitors was Svapo Web, one of Italy’s top online vape stores. My colleague and I teamed up with two of their staff for a quick game of foosball (table footy) between meetings, and I must say, nothing breaks a language barrier quite like table sports. We definitely made some new friends in Svapo Web, be sure to check out their site for the best brands in Italy. A major highlight for me was getting to try so many Italian flavours. This had to be one of my favourite shows ever for sampling new 156 VM26
