Like many of us, the organisers couldn’t miss the opportunity to
help right some of the misinformation that has been spread in
various media. For the first time at this event we had a medical-
scientific presence such as Dr. Roberto Sussman from Pro-
Vapeo, and specialized legal advice with expert lawyers such as
Mtro. Juan José Cirión Lee from Mexico and the Vaping World,
reinforcing with talks about the root of the misinformation we are
going through in mass media and how the community has the
right tools to fight it.
VTC, as expected, had the presence of international references,
highlighting a figure already very well known in the Latin American
Vaper community; Julio Ruades better known as “El mono
Vapeador” who served as Master of Ceremonies on the main stage
and who naturally did a great job.
He ensured that the conversations they had with doctors and
specialists about the situation that the industry is going through
right now were able to take place without letting the event lose
the tone of celebration that has characterised it in its three years
of existence.
Without limiting itself to informing attendees and exhibitors, a
booth was set up so that everyone who was present at the event
could record a brief report about how vaping has helped them
in the different aspects of their lives, in order to deal with the
misinformation that prevails.
Nowadays the industry is going through a sensitive time and we
believe that it is of utmost importance that these events for the
community are supported by all the members of this industry
such as distributors, manufacturers, consumers and specialists
who have made studies supporting vaping as a tool to reduce the
damage caused by tobacco.
