VAPEXPO PARIS
OCTOBER 5-7
PARIS-NORD VILLEPINTE
Words: Baz Bassra
Paris is a capital city known for its culture and gastronomy and while
its famous monuments attract tourists from around the world, it also
has a thriving vape scene.
It plays host to VapExpo Paris which has become a specular vaping
extravaganza and the three-day event I attended in October certainly
lived up to is renowned high expectations.
Sensitive to ecology and aware of the amount of waste generated
by their events, Vapexpo has implemented a number of actions to
reduce waste and unnecessary consumption at shows.
For example, the carpet is fully recyclable, the partitions are reusable,
just like the cotton that covers them, and the free bags distributed at
the entrance are made from eco-friendly fabric. More events should
be like this and I think we could all learn from this great example set
by the event organisers here.
On entering the arena, I was immediately greeted by Patrick Bédué,
140 VM26
founder and president of Vapexpo, together with his entire warmly-
welcoming and friendly team.
Once inside, it was great to see familiar faces from the industry such
as IVG, Nasty Juice, and Vampire Vape. I was particularly pleased
to also meet a number of exhibitors who were new to me and learn
about the stories which led to them being at this event.
E-liquides Curieux was one that stuck in my mind, with its classy and
well-designed French boutique-style booth. This unmissable stand
had, as its centrepiece, a tall, female mannequin in a glitzy long red
dress, alongside a life-like stunning stallion.
CEO Mathieu Czernichow said the feminine luxury design was all
down to his wife who created each of the distinctive designs for every
flavour in the e-liquid range.
I then had the pleasure to meet the FP Flavour Power team led by
marketing director Charlotte Vicat Pedurand who proudly explained
