VAPE SOUTH AMERICA, PERU
OCTOBER 19-20
DOMOS ART, LIMA.
Words: Alyson Guiel
As we touched down at Lima Airport some seventeen
hours after leaving the UK, it dawned on me that I’d never
ventured into the southern hemisphere before and here I was
representing Vapouround at Vape South America Peru.
Downtown Lima at rush hour is probably as frenetic as any other
capital. The one overwhelming difference was the constant noise of
car horns blaring - it was deafening! Apparently, drivers don’t believe
in using their indicators. They choose to use their horns to let fellow
drivers know they are moving lanes or overtaking!
After just over an hour of being jostled around we were glad to reach
the haven of our hotel. At this point it’s worth mentioning the weather
(wouldn’t be the British way otherwise). We were just coming out of
winter, a time during which the sun rarely emerges and when the

The following day we set off for the Domos Art Peru, an unusual venue
consisting of several interlocking high domes, creating a light and
airy setting for the event – a welcome contrast to the gloom outside!

The vibe inside was friendly and relaxed, like a group of friends
meeting up again. It was great to see so many regulars – brands
such as Dinner Lady, Ultimate Juice, Nasty Juice, Riot Squad and IVG,
along with other familiar faces such as Ohm Boyz, Element, Sad Boys,
Twist and Barista Brew.
The main show sponsor Mad Man had great presence throughout,
along with other sponsors Arc, Vape Guys and Diamond Vapor. It was
