Vapitaly CityFestRoma was a fun-packed vape-based outdoor celebration with mass appeal by James Parnell
To describe VapItaly ’ s CityFestRome as just another vape expo would be doing the event a massive injustice . This was a vape event with a lot more going on than just vaping . For a start it was outdoors , and while not unheard of , this is certainly unusual . I heard it described by one visitor as being like one huge outdoor vape-themed party and that is exactly what it was . While vaping products and e-liquids were the stars of the two day show , there was also delicious street food , music , beer and wine and street performers all thrown into the mix . This combination of vaping and entertainment worked really well and the many thousands of people who attended CityFestRoma certainly seemed to enjoy the experience . I saw crowds of younger people and many students eagerly sampling as many of the e-liquids as they could and excitedly discussing the flavours with their friends . On the Saturday night , this event went on long into the evening and , as a result , it had a unique atmosphere , especially once the sun had set . The bright lights , loud music and vape stalls all reminded me of a wintery Christmas market in England with a warm twist and , of course , huge vape plumes rising upwards into the night sky . It attracted everyone from experienced vapers to total newcomers and everyone was made to feel welcome . I wasn ’ t sure whether a vape event would still attract people late at night but it did . The very late night crowd - while clearly fewer than the daytime peak - seemed to me made up more of really dedicated hard-core vapers who enjoyed the more intimate atmosphere with fewer people around . This was a well well-organised event , well attended by many wholesalers in particular and it featured some of the most prestigious names in vaping such as Kilo and Strawberry Queen . Vapouround had a stand at the show and our our e-liquids were a massive hit amongst the Italian community , especially the newly released Toffaccino flavour . We hosted multiple Kangertec Neboxes containing the Vapouround Berry Ice and
Toffaccino e-liquids and once people tried a taste they would not let go . Throughout the event vapers of all ages complimented both flavours and when we asked people to choose between them they said Toffaccino was “ bellissima ” and clearly a winner . The enthusiasm was genuine , not just people saying nice things to be kind to us because they were getting something free . I saw the same people leave with our juices and then return for more . Some people tipped away the juice in their tanks to fill up with our juices instead and most , having sampled our juices , returned with their friends to sample some more and then buy multiple bottles . The majority of people would leave having tested the juice and bring crowds of friends to sample and buy them . This was obviously great to see and other vendors reported that they had made great sales too . All in all the show was a fantastic change to the usual vape expos that I have been to and the freedom of vaping outdoors surrounded by clouds of vape really made the visit worthwhile .
