Lovell is one of the most instantly recognised faces in the industry .
He has been a regular at the Vapouround Awards over the years and has fronted the show both in the UK and onboard a luxury super yacht in Dubai .
Johnnie has also wowed UK Vaper Expo audiences with his largerthan-life personality as he directs proceedings from the stage and ensures everyone is fired up and having a great time .
However , when he is away from the spotlight , he spends his time running his own vape store with the same high energy levels that have become his trademark .
The former publican , who ran bars , pubs and clubs , is a natural-born entertainer and drew heavily on this when he opened BHVape ten years ago .
Everyone is greeted with a warm ‘ Good Morning Sir ’ or ‘ Good Morning Madam ’ when they enter the store and good , old-fashioned customer service is at the heart of everything he does .
Johnnie said : “ It is important to me and to my staff to treat everyone with respect and take time to really understand what they want .
“ The business has been built upon personality , great staff who know everything there is to know about vaping , selling fantastic equipment and taking the time to help smokers switch .”
In typical BHVape style , each time a customer successfully switches to vaping , Johnnie will ring out a loud bell in the store to mark the occasion .
He said : “ I can ’ t think of any better use of my time than to help smokers switch to vaping and get their lives back .
“ We cater for everyone from the blue rinsers to the unconvincers and make sure they have all the help and support they need to evolve from smoking to vaping .”
The BHVape staff normally spend a lot of time with new customers to understand their smoking habits so they can get the right system to meet their needs .
However , for one particular customer , things turned out a little differently .
Johnnie said : “ I remember one guy who was a life-long smoker but was adamant that he didn ’ t want to switch to vaping .
“ Disposable devices , which looked just like cigarettes , had recently come out so I gave him one to try . It was zero nicotine and I just wanted him to experience what vaping was like .
“ He came back four days later and said it was so good that he had not touched a cigarette since . Even when I told him there was no nicotine in it , he decided vaping was for him and was so happy to have stopped smoking .”
