Alternative Products Expo , Colombia .

May 21-22 , 2022 .

Words : Paul Caplin
After two-and-a-half years , we were finally allowed to return to Colombia .
We were back in Medellin , the home of the newly renamed ‘ Alternative Products Expo ’ – a show we have been attending since its launch .
This was our opportunity to reconnect with old friends and clients from this side of the world where we had been cut off for so long because of the global scamdemic .
The first noticeable difference in this newly reformatted expo , was that the organisers needed two larger halls because of the increased numbers of exhibitors . To see how the expo has expanded was definitely a good thing .
The check in process was as slick as ever , something we would expect from seasoned pros like these organisers .
We were greeted by the first friendly face on the door , which happened to be the main man and organiser Jason Monti . It was nice to see him again after so long .
We went into the expo with great anticipation and excitement and it looked fantastic .
It was busy with visitors out in force and each booth seemed to be getting their share of footfall and yet there was enough space between the booths to make it comfortable for everyone .
There was the usual array of big booths . People really going for it , with double-tiered booths and massive builds .
This remained essentially a vape expo , so I am not sure why they renamed it ‘ alternative products ’ and my worry was that people seeing the name would not immediately know it was a vape event .
Most of the booths were vape-related and a lot of the big names were in attendance . We have always thought that these Colombian vape events were fantastic and this one was no exception .
Another massive well done to Jason and his team . This was very professionally executed as always and the feedback was fantastic .
If you haven ’ t checked out this expo yet , it ’ s definitely one for the diary . We look forward to seeing what comes next .
