Attending my first international vape trade show since the pandemic gave me a great sense of excitement and joy .
It was great to be able to cross international borders once again and I was looking forward to seeing what this three-day event had to offer .
When I arrived at the beautiful city of Lille the weather was great and the sun was shining .
My first job was to set up the Vapouround stand for the show ahead and it was a real pleasure to get to attend an expo without hiding behind a mask .
Events like this are great opportunities to speak to likeminded enthusiastic exhibitors and it was clear , that just like me , so many people had missed this face-to-face contact .
On the first morning of the show , I noticed that there was a great atmosphere across the expo hall as everybody seemed eager to make the best of the three days ahead .
The B2B morning was a great way to start the show and while I was glad to see so many companies represented , I thought there might be more new brands exhibiting here .
Day two saw a steady flow of attendees but it seemed that many people may have been cautious about attending large indoor events which impacted on overall visitor numbers .
Regardless of footfall , the majority of exhibitors appeared to do well and this was a great indication that business was once again on the rise and things were getting back to normal .
This was a very calm and relaxed show , in comparison to previous shows back in 2019 , where everybody appeared to be smiling , happy and looking forward to the future .
I would like to thank the organisers for hosting such a great event which was very well organised and just what the industry needed .
I look forward to coming back for the next event .
It was a nice feeling seeing familiar faces and brands in the vaping industry and we had a lot to catch up with after such a long absence .
