A win for all
We had 28 categories up for grabs , and while I congratulate everyone who won an award on the evening , I think it ’ s fair to say that we all walked away from this year ’ s Vapouround Awards as winners .
Between the mouthwatering menu , unbeatable entertainment and the unique atmosphere that makes this event so special , this evening was truly one to remember .
Vapouround Awards winners represent the best and brightest of our industry ; the brands and personalities that drive our continued success on the world ’ s stage and push us ever closer to a smokefree future .
Without their passion and drive , the harm reduction movement may well have drowned under mainstream media hit stories and baseless attacks from anti-vaping advocates .
Instead , we have collectively helped millions of people shift away from deadly cigarettes and take back control of their health … thank you all and please , please keep innovating .
I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors , advertisers , judges , awards entrants , attendees and the entire Vapouround team which pulled together to make this our best event yet .
A mental health hit
The Vapouround Awards don ’ t just allow us
to celebrate the industry , but also represent a chance for us to do a little good .
This year we partnered with charity boxing match Redemption , which is taking place in association with Mind to raise money for mental health .
To help with this worthy cause , we raffled off a selection of must-have prizes – including a signed Anthony Joshua glove – and gave a platform to some of the fighters taking part in the event .
We heard from white-collar boxer Darren Barber , who told us a heart-wrenching story about his mother and late father ’ s struggle with dementia , as well as his own mental health battle .
The fact that we can help support amazing causes like this through our awards show warms my heart and only adds to the incredible value and benefit of our annual event .
