VAPOUROUND ON TOUR

NATIONAL CONVENIENCE SHOW , NEC BIRMINGHAM . APRIL 25-27 , 2022 .

W hen vaping first came to the UK , customers could only get their supplies through local specialised stores which were just starting to spring up .

And while specialist vape shops undoubtedly remain the backbone of the industry , e-cigarettes have increasingly expanded into the wider retail sector .
This is reflected by the willingness of e-cigarette companies to exhibit , not only at specialist vape expos , but to take their products to a more general audience .
It is evidence that vaping is no longer a specialist niche of its own , but has become an increasingly mainstream alternative to smoking .
One such example of this was the National Convenience Show
which took place at the NEC in Birmingham in April and featured some of the biggest names from this important retail sector .
From the vape industry , names such as Pukka Juice and multiVAPE were represented , as buyers within the convenience sector increasingly offer reduced risk products for former smokers .
It was the first time this event has been held in two years due to COVID restrictions and the overwhelming message from exhibitors and visitors alike was ‘ It ’ s great to be back .’
The National Convenience Show was actually four expos in one as it also included three other co-located shows ; The Forecourt Show , Food & Drink Expo and the Farm Shop & Deli Show .
A flood of overwhelmingly positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors has shown that the events have delivered on their shared remit , providing 2022 ’ s most comprehensive snapshot of multiple markets in just three days .
