VApril , the world ’ s largest campaign to help smokers switch to vaping , is well underway .

A VApril social media campaign will highlight the vital role specialist vape shops play in helping smokers switch .
Now in its fifth year , it is more important than ever that smokers discover the facts about vaping to help counteract so much ‘ fake news ’ out there .
There are currently seven million smokers in the UK and many are unaware that vaping has been shown to be the best method to help them quit and stay off cigarettes .
VApril is the annual awareness campaign from the UK Vaping Industry Association ( UKVIA ) and it has already been proven to work .
Doug Mutter a director at VPZ , the UK ’ s largest independent chain of vape shops , said : “ For well over a decade now vaping has helped hundreds of thousands of adult smokers to quit for good and the evidence supporting its use is mounting all the time .
“ What ’ s really remarkable is that the private sector has been the main advocate for this in the shape of the many specialist vape businesses who have offered expert guidance and support to help smokers to find the best way to give up cigarettes through vaping .
A recent One Poll survey of nearly 2,000 adults showed that 72 percent of smokers who were aware of VApril said that the campaign had influenced them to make the switch to vaping .
