The World Health Organization must embrace innovation in tobacco harm reduction and talk to its traditional ‘ enemy ’ - the many consumers and experts in the field .

The World Health Organization is being told that it can no longer justify its refusal to endorse vaping and other lower-risk alternatives to smoking .

It is coming under increasing pressure to listen to the evidence from scientists and from the millions of ex-smokers who have used innovative products , such as vaping , to quit .
World Vapers ’ Alliance Director Michael Landl says the time has come for the WHO to end its long-running war on vaping .
He said it must withdraw its recommendations for increased taxation , flavour bans or outright prohibition of vaping products .
Landl said : “ In recent years , the WHO has rejected the participation of consumers and harm reduction experts in their decision-making process .
