THE CHALLENGES
BLIND TASTE-TEST
Here we put our competitors ’ palates to the test , with one member from each team stepping up to the plate to see if they could guess our collection of mystery items . While some of our contestants confidently enjoyed the roster of weird and wonderful foods , others struggled to stomach the challenge . Our very own Patrick Griffin and Marcus Langmaid had trouble choking down the cottage cheese , but with everything from baby food to pickled beetroot on offer , there was certainly something for everyone to turn their nose up at . Ultimately , this event ended in a tie , with each team scoring a modest two-out-of-five points .
CHILLI HOT SEAT
We certainly turned up the heat for this round , with five fearless contestants facing Vapouround ’ s spiciest challenge to date . On an already scorching day , the competitors had to muscle their way through six mouth-burning dishes , each even more fiery than the last . Not to mention that liquids were completely off-the-table , with anyone caught taking a drink facing immediate disqualification . For an added twist , players could save themselves from the next round of spice , but only if they could correctly answer an immunity question . While the first stage was a feisty but manageable blend , the final dish was a near-unbearable mix of over 60 chillies , including those infamously hot habaneros . Astonishingly , all five contestants made it through to the sixth round relatively unscathed , but the worst was yet to come . Unfortunately , just a few spoonfuls away from glory , marketing-representative Carrie Strouther lost her cool , forfeiting the round and sadly losing all her points .
ICE BUCKET QUIZ
Question : How do make the Vapouround staff shiver in 30-degree heat ? Answer : Blast them with ice-cold water every time they get a question wrong . In this sub-zero test of knowledge , contestants not only faced each other , but also the merciless quiz master , Johnnie Lovell from BHVape . If competitors answered correctly , they could choose someone else to face an icy punishment , but if they were incorrect , they would suffer the consequences . And with ten questions in total , there were plenty of opportunities for players to soak or be soaked . While he definitely didn ’ t win the round , salesrepresentative Pete Masters certainly earned his place as the MWP ( Most Wet Player ). But it wasn ’ t just him , as every contestant was hit with a face-full of freezing water at some point during the game .
