Don is an audio engineer by trade , with a BS in Audio Production , a master ’ s degree in acoustics and a wealth of experience working with live sound . He spent the first part of the 80 ’ s moonlighting as a DJ in one of New York ’ s most popular disco clubs , brushing shoulders with some of the biggest stars of the time . After that , he spent some time on the road touring with major rock artists and bands as a live sound engineer . He said : “ I enjoy mixing monitors – the stage speakers for the musicians – because when you give a musician a clean mix , they can tilt their head back , close their eyes , take in the energy of the audience and give them a magic moment . “ I ’ ve seen pretty famous people , who play the same songs day-in and day-out , suddenly have a special night where everything comes together .” He added : “ Those are the kinds of gigs I would ’ ve done for free because of the magic the artists were able show to an audience .” Now he spends every chance he gets in a home-based project studio and his office turned control room , mixing tracks for different artists . “ I ’ m not the guy who records the drums , bass guitar or even vocals , I ’ m the one that they send those tracks to make them into a song .” He said : “ It ’ s relaxation for me , it ’ s fun , especially after long and stressful days running an e-liquid company in the toxic US environment … it ’ s what I do instead of watching TV .”
Besides being a husband and a father , I have three passions in life ; motorcycles , computers and music .
