Sam AKA Vaping Bogan has become Australia’s most popular
vaping reviewer after fi ve years on YouTube. In recent times,
he’s turned his attention to designing products and we wanted
to fi nd out a little more about what that entails.
HOBBYIST CORNER
Q: It’s fair to say that your channel started off as
a bit of a spoof, with a heavy focus on the Vaping
Bogan as a character. What made you transition
towards a more serious, in depth review channel?
A: In the beginning the voice was a bit of a joke,
but the no bullshit bogan style is just me. While
my reviews have evolved over the years, providing
unbiased factual info with some fun has never
changed.
Q: Your fi rst project was the Bonza RDA, what were
the primary goals of this product?
A: It was pretty simple. To create an everyday
workhorse for those that like high wattage vaping.
You can’t say no to the opportunity to create your
dream RDA.
Q: What were the primary challenges of your fi rst
collaborative project? Was there anything that
could not be realised in the end product?
A: Like any fi rst, it was defi nitely a learning
opportunity. I worked with a tip top team and
together we weathered whatever challenges came
up. I’m absolutely chuffed with what we achieved.
Q: These days there’s a style of vaping to suit
anyone. It’s quite clear that you favour mechanical
