Sweet Shop – Blackcurrant and Liquorice Dry Ice – Ruby Ice VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional sweetener: Minimal Throat hit: Mild VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional sweetener: Minimal Throat hit: Mild, with cooling Blackcurrant and Liquorice is a staple of the e-liquid world, so is Leprechaun Liquid’s take on the profi le worth checking out? Here we have a full-bodied liquorice which dominates this blend for me. It is moderately sweet with substantial sticky mouth feel and that strong flavour lingers on the palate long after vaping, which will be a good or bad thing depending on personal preference. The blackcurrant is really a background note here which provides a slight boost to the sweetness of the profi le, along with some juicy connotations but it is ultimately bullied by the intense liquorice. A simple but inevitably divisive flavour. Leprechaun Liquids describe Ruby Ice as a blend of strawberry, lemon and coolant. A bright candy strawberry is the star of the show here. It brings plenty of sweetness to the mix, along with subtle hints of a more natural berry flavour, which stops the top note from feeling too one dimensional. This is accented with a mild candy lemon which boosts the tartness of the profi le but does not dominate the more delicate top note. The profi le is fi nished with a mild dose of coolant, which does not interfere with the balance of flavours and ensures that this is a light vape. Pudding Parlour – Tiramisu Fruit Cocktails – Mulligan’s Mix VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional sweetener: Minimal Throat hit: Mild VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional sweetener: Minimal Throat hit: Mild, with cooling Coffee profi les are very diffi cult to pull off, especially when you add the complexities of desserts. The coffee top note here is a bit thin for my liking but it does bring some dark sweetness and a hint of bit- terness to the mix. The coffee notes are accented by a subtle cocoa flavour that unfortunately seems to give the blend a dry texture. The profi le is fi nished with a moderate dairy base, which does some work to counteract the dryness of the cocoa and also lends a noticeable tang to the fi nish, which may be an acquired taste. Mulligan’s Mix is described as a blend of plum, grapefruit and mint, which is highly unconventional. For me, the dominant flavour is a bright authentic grapefruit which brings an intense brightness to the blend, along with robust tartness. This is supported by a deeper plum note, which boosts the profi le’s sweetness, without detracting from the bolder grapefruit top note. The mix is fi nished with a moderately present mint, which adds a herbal dimension to the profi le, along with a small dose of coolant, which keeps things fresh. An interesting fruit mix. Bling – Raspberry Ripple Fairground – Candy Dummy VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional sweetener: Minimal Throat hit: Mild VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional sweetener: Minimal Throat hit: Mild Raspberry Ripple is a classic dessert profi le and the top note here is a moderate raspberry syrup which is relatively sweet. It has a mildly sticky mouth feel and a hint of tartness with the raspberry supported by a moderate dairy base. I’m not sure I would describe this as ice cream though, since it’s lacking the sweetness and vanilla notes I would usually expect from an ice cream. Instead this e-liquid provides a more reserved raspberries and cream vape that could be a good option for dessert fans who are looking for something simple. Candy Dummy is billed as a strawberry candy profi le. Unfortunately, the strawberry in this case is rather muted and thin. It lacks the bright sweetness and natural notes found in Ruby Ice. This is supported by a hard candy base that provides the mix with some sticky mouthfeel and additional sweetness but does not add any real depth to the flavour. A very light strawberry candy vape that may appeal to those who prefer subtle flavours. VM25 213
