August 5 – Crown and Arrows Pub,
Derby
Most people enjoy a good
night down at the local and the
Vapouround Bus team is no
exception. To help celebrate our
Events Manager’s birthday we
took the bus to the Crown and
Arrows pub in Shelton Lock, Derby.
It turned more than a few heads
when we parked up in the car park
and it wasn’t long until regulars
and locals alike checked out the
imposing double decker. This was
a beautiful summer’s evening
and the event was so successful
that we had people queueing to
get their free Vladdin starter kits.

Smokers would come out of the
pub to light up, see our bus in
front of them and happily swap
their cigarettes for shiny new
vape kits. One of the highlights
was a relapsed smoker who found
himself back on the cigarettes
after giving up for 15 years. He
snapped up our offer of a free vape
kit and said he was determined to
give up for good this time round.
This was such a great event we
may head off down to the pub
again if we can persuade the boss
to let us do so.
