VAPEXPRO ATHENS TAE KWON DO & HANDBALL OLYMPIC STADIUM. SEPTEMBER 21-22. Words: Paul Caplin September 21-22 saw the fourth edition of Vapexpro Athens. Vapouround has been proud media partners of this event for the last two years and due to other commitments we were unable to attend the expo last year. This year was different and we winged our way to Greece for a show we were excited to attend for the fi rst time. We arrived on the Saturday and I must say it was one of the most relaxed hospitable check in processes we have ever encountered over the four years of attending expos throughout the world. We were welcomed by the organisers, who then proceeded to escort us to our stand. They then offered us coffee and water and asked us what we needed. Although we always receive a warm welcome wherever we go, we don’t usually get that level of personal assistance by the organisers as usually they have a lot going on with organising the expo. This was a lovely touch that we appreciated. We set up our booth, and took a walk around the expo hall. A handful of familiar faces graced the hall, and smiles from the usual suspects such as Nasty Juice, Red Box, Kilo and Charlie’s Chalk Dust were a welcome sight. One of the most noticeable things were the large numbers of new companies that were exhibiting, as well as a plethora of Greek juice brands and distributors that added a welcome mix to what was looking like a interesting international exhibition. The fi rst day was steady, with a constant drip of attendees coming to sample the juice on offer and try the new hardware on display by these companies. After speaking with a handful of exhibitors, the general mood was good and people seemed happy and content with day one. If people enjoyed day one and did nice business, on day two they were all in for a treat and a nice surprise. 150 VM25
