VAPECON SOUTH AFRICA 2019

Driving through the long, isolated roads off
Thaba Tshware, I was struck by the safari-like
scenery and very little else around me.
This was quite a derelict location and I was just
wondering whether I had taken a wrong turn
when the huge Heartfelt Arena suddenly came
into view.
This arena was vast and the atmosphere inside
was absolutely electric with a huge energy
emanating from the large crowd of vaping
enthusiasts.
I immediately felt right at home at this show
which boasted more than 100 exhibitors
including many South African brands which
were new to me, including White Snow, Vape
Republic, Twisp, Steeped Juice and Liquid Kiss.
These companies sat alongside more familiar
household names including Riot Squad, IVG,
Zap, Smok, Dr Vapes, Dinner Lady and Ruthless.
This was a two-day event which attracted a really
enthusiastic crowd of vapers from all walks of
life who were all united by a love of vaping.
The care and respect we received during the
two days was amazing and the VapeCon team
worked extremely hard to pull off such a vibrant
event.
Vape tricks and cloud competitions played a big
part here and the competitors were of a very
high standard indeed.
Whilst walking the vape floors of VapeCon I
came across many extraordinary people and
their stories which lead them to the path of vape.
I met many really interesting people at the show
including Steeped Juice CEO Joshua Peterson
who created the company with his brother
Matthew to bring more affordable juices to the
market.
Business has grown from strength to strength
to the extent that Steeped Juice is now one of
South Africa’s leading juice brands.
