Creating a product which makes transitioning to e-cigarettes is pretty much every vaping company’s goal - to make
something that’s simple and as close to cigarettes as possible to give customers what they’re yearning for. Closed-
pod systems have exploded on the market due to their convenience and ease of use. With the wider range of flavors
available, refillable pod systems are continuing to grow in popularity.
COREX is made by VAPORESSO, a China-based subsidiary of Smoore Technology, which happens to be the parent
company for FEELM. FEELM earlier this year gained great acclaim for their ceramic wicking technology within closed
systems and is now the popular choice for many closed systems on the market today. With a lot of people asking for
the same quality and feel but within a refillable device, COREX is here.
VAPORESSO promises the closest vapor to cigarettes, clean flavors, no leaking and the most durable core within an
e-cigarette device. So to test these, I have used multiple juices and I have used it for a solid month now to really
give it a full review. They gave me 4 refillable pods and an unbranded device with 6.5w power output, made solely
for the purpose of the review.
Performance
The shape is very similar to the FEELM ceramic heating
element. COREX is a completely porous white ceramic
mold in the shape of a bowl. There is no cotton or
standard wrapped coil in the design. The coil is embedded
into the ceramic in the shape of a radiator coil - like a
snake, with two metal wires sticking out of the ceramic
block for the connection. Juice is filled into the ceramic
bowl shape.
COREX is a super smooth vape; the flavor is clean and
rich, yet you get more of this dry sensation from the
vape. Would I say it’s like a cigarette? Not completely,
but how can you truly compare a cigarette’s smell with
an e-cigarette’s fruit and dessert smells? However, the
vapor itself is much closer than I have ever found in any
e-cigarette. Cigarettes don’t have juices or liquids to create
the humid flavors you would normally find from vaping.
But the COREX seems to vaporize them more completely
to achieve such a dry vapor.
After comparing with some other devices I have, the vapor
production also seems to be much greater than in others
at a similar wattage. I feel like I need to be using an output
of between 10-15w to get the same nicotine feeling and
vapor produced in other devices.
As I said, I’ve been testing the COREX continuously for over
a month now, and I’ve got to say that this thing lasts the
test of time. I’ve refilled this now 15 times with 4 different
flavors and varied PG/VG ratios. I only needed to change
the pod to see if this was a fluke – which didn’t seem to
be the case.
“...COREX’s flavor and
nicotine hit alone can be
enough to make this a
new favorite.”
Verdict
After using the COREX pods for over a month or so, I can
certainly say that there is a new force out in the market.
The COREX’s flavor and nicotine hit alone can be enough
to make this a new favorite. Also the dry vapor production
will be a big help towards the people wishing to make the
transition to vaping. It’s durability is just baffling and I hope
this is brought to the market soon in the right devices that
can utilise this technology to its maximum potential.
