enough for me because they’ve already scared millions of Americans. I’ve had several customers come into the shop, joking around and saying things like “should I just go back to cigarettes?” And they might have been joking but that really hit hard with me because no, you shouldn’t go back to cigarettes! I think these organisations [like the CDC] owe us a public service announcement. We also need to eliminate the whole ‘fake news’ thing because that’s real in America and our news lies to us all the time. I want to make sure they’re held accountable because if they’re reporting lies that are hurting people, they need to be held accountable. A “sorry” is not good enough. I attended the Vapor Technology Association conference and we marched on The Capitol, we met with 37 different state representatives to talk about vaping. I’ve also been trying to educate as many people as possible, not necessarily just vapers. So, I’ve been sitting outside the shop on a stool for 85 percent of my shifts and just simply having a conversation with every person who walks by, asking them: “What do you know about vaping? What do you think about vaping?” I think the most important thing is we need to start getting people who are not smokers and who are not vapers involved. I have actually educated a lot of people who didn’t have any idea about vaping before. It blows my mind that people just believe anything they hear. We’ve had 13 states fi le for flavour bans since Trump’s tweet went out. But I think that without flavours, there is no vaping; because that’s the whole point of vaping. Vaping was invented to move people away from cigarettes. So, how are you going to sit there and tell me I can only vape a tobacco flavour? You want me to vape a flavour that reminds me of the thing that I’m trying to quit? It just makes me think that the government’ is trying to push an agenda or something. Cigarette sales are at an all-time low and I can’t help but think that this has something to do with it. I wish they would realise that the vaping industry in America actually wants to help America - what we’re against is unjust regulation. We’re not against regulation and we’re not against taxation, we want to help the economy but they’re trying to ban us left, right and centre.” “We’ve had 13 states file for fl avour bans since Trump’s tweet went out.
