The double red carpet running down the centre of the long hall is now a Vaper Expo staple. This allows there to be an ultra-premium, high-footfall zone leading from the entrance at one end to the main stage at the other. With two shows a year, some companies will choose to attend one or the other but I noticed that many who were not at this event still chose to send representatives to walk and talk on Friday for business-to- business day. This show really comes alive on the two consumer days and the huge pyramids of Vampire Vape-sponsored Vapouround goody bags in the holding area proved a big hit for visitors, media and bloggers to film and take pictures. The 10-second countdown and indoor pyrotechnics marked the opening of the show where hundreds of vape fans accessed the blue mood-lit entrance tunnel leading to the expo itself. Some visitors filtered right, others turned left and a few just stood for a moment to take in the impressive sight of another new Vaper Expo to explore. Chinese wholesaler ElegoMall, Zebra Juice and Premier E-Cigs were the three most eye-catching stands close to the entrance. A few paces further in saw the Vapouround Bus, ADV Distro and Vapouround Insider stand which played host to the 2019 Vapouround Cup, sponsored by Red Liquids. For three days companies tested their computer game football kills on a giant TV wall. Well done to everyone who took part and especially to Horizon Vape Distro and Red Liquids for such an intense final. Both teams were level with a goal each at the full-time whistle but Horizon clinched it with a 2-1 victory after extra time. This area was also the home to the Vapouround ‘Open the Box’ game where prizes including high-end mods, pods, tanks and other goodies were won throughout the weekend. There were a lot of CBD companies at this expo, many pod systems on display and the largest ever representation from Chinese exhibitors at this particular show. The wonderfully-named Boring Vape Co had an impressive stand and the only thing boring about them is their name. They are a new company and I have a feeling they will become very big indeed as their e-liquids are very impressive. One to watch out for. Vape Airways looked great – they really captured the look of an airline check-in zone – and Red Liquids were a powerful presence in the centre of the hall. I noticed many exhibitors mingling with influencers, YouTubers and Instagrammers at the media meet and greet area on the Sunday and this was a nice addition to the show. All-in-all this was yet another great Vaper Expo and we are already looking forward to October’s event. VM23 | 163
