AWARDS THE BEST YET Tears of joy, pride and gratitude were flavours of the night as this year’s winners were overcome with emotion on being named the best of the industry. Let’s not forget just how different the vape industry is now compared to four years ago when the Vaper Expo and Vapouround Awards each debuted. It’s no surprise then just how overwhelmed with emotion many of the big winners were as every category has grown more competitive. THE ‘X’ FACTOR Canadian company Premium Liquid Labs won Best CBD. awa ustr Entertainment is central to everything we do at Vapouround. We like a dare, trick or a twist or two around the office, so when we had the opportunity to have the co-creator of ITV’s ‘Tricked’ come on board as a host, it was a no- brainer. Nigel Mead’s sophistication and professionalism were matched and balanced with experienced Ashley Hansen’s knowledge and passion for the industry, while Johnnie Lovell bounced around the room on social media duties. Magician Nick Einhorn is a regular fixture at the Vapouround Awards, always pulling it out of the bag (or should that be hat?) This year, we added handsome trio ‘Roaming Around’ to serenade guests at the welcome reception. We also added Lumina to the line-up with a fierce laser violinist who has supported Sting, Derren Brown and Juuls Holland to open the show. And then there were the ‘Masters of Illusion,’ Keelan Leyser and Matt Daniel-Baker, a truly unique double act for the digital age. Riot Squad accepted the Juice of the Year award. Scott & Kayley Parkinson from Wigan represented the night’s charity partner, Blessing in Disguise. 102 | VM23 Vapouround owner Paul Caplin with awards host Ashley Hansen of Daddy’s Vapor.
