Each year, it takes months of planning to organise the annual awards night. From
the evening itself to the entry stage, to the sponsors, food, judging, public votes
and entertainment. This is where creativity knows no bounds.
For the fourth annual Vapouround Awards, the events team, led by Abida Razaque,
upped their game as soon as the 2018 event drew to a close. Potential new venues
were scouted, a new host was announced and preparations got underway.

But it’s not all glitz and glamour. There’s a formidable amount of backroom work
that goes into pulling an event like this off. It’s the bits you don’t see that make
this event as passion-filled and electric as many of you at the awards will have
experienced.
