LEFT ME LOST FOR WORDS’
Horizon Vape Distro boss Jabir Ahmed
has spoken of his joy and excitement at
picking up three separate Vapouround
Awards at this year’s event.
Jabir, known to many as Jabs, was
left speechless when the disposable
plastic device was named the winner of
Innovation of the Year and Tank of the
Year. Then to round it all off, the Vzone
Preco One Kit came third in the Best Mod
category.
Afterwards, Jabs said he went to the
fourth annual awards ceremony just
to enjoy the evening and connect with
others from the global vape industry, and
added he had no idea that the Preco Tank
was shortlisted for the Innovation of the
Year category. When it was announced
as the winner, he could not believe it.
The sales and marketing director said
afterwards: “It is very rarely that I get
stuck for words and when I found out we
were the winner I just froze.
“Being recognised by the Vapouround
Awards is the moment everyone waits for

and when I went to the stage to collect the
award I thought that was the night wrapped
up and I could not get any happier.
“Our entire table just went crazy when the
second award was announced and when
we ended the evening with three awards,
I don’t think I have ever experienced
excitement quite like it.”
The following day all three awards were
proudly displayed by Jabs and his team at
their stand and for the remaining two days
of the Vaper Expo people were lining up
to shake his hand and congratulate the
team on their success.
Jabs said the awards were recognition of
the high quality of the product and of the
partnership between Horizon Vape Distro
and Vzone, which has helped make this
tank so successful. In fact, within hours of
winning the awards Jabs was picking up
fresh orders for the Preco Tank.
He said: “You can spend millions on brand
recognition but getting these three awards
on one night means we have the right
products, the right team and the right
partners, promoters and distributors.
“The Vapouround Awards are the most
sought after and most prestigious awards
in the vape industry. They are recognised
globally so when you display awards like
this on your stand, demand automatically
increases.
“Virtually as soon as the award results
were known on the evening the calls
started coming in and we were taking
orders for the Preco tanks.
“This has given me the motivation to keep
going even stronger than before and is
confirmation that we are on the right track.
“The working partnership between Horizon
Vape Distro and Vzone is more like a family
relationship than a business relationship
and everyone involved has sacrificed a lot
to make sure these products are the best
they can be.
“We have missed out on family days,
time with the children and when you are
working around the clock on something
you passionately believe in, it is great to
get recognition like this that the brand is a
quality brand.”
