Project X is Diamond Mist's take on one
of the most popular fruity menthol flavour
profiles on the market right now.
It carries a bold and brazen collection of ripe
and juicy berries that is most noticeable
when smelling the aroma of this e-liquid,
and of course, upon inhaling. As you hold the
vapour in your lungs, there is a very subtle,
yet well-placed undertone of aniseed,
giving this e-liquid another dimension of
flavour. As you begin to exhale, you may
notice that the fresh nature of the berry
is amplified by a sharp and icy menthol
that helps create an alluring and relatively
straightforward flavoured e-liquid.
Even after exhaling, you can still enjoy a
cool aftertaste for quite a while, until you
are ready to resume vaping and top up
your taste buds. This cola flavour gives a strong throat hit
but is equally smooth to vape. I felt that
this was a definite plus in my books, as I
enjoy a decent hit, but it offered a rather
unparalleled smoothness to it, especially
when exhaling. Flavour-wise, the cola
was more akin to a cola flavoured gummy
sweet rather than a fizzy cola beverage.
It came across as being incredibly well
balanced, as it was sweet but not overly
so, and seemed to carry the cola flavour
throughout the vaping process. The flavour
was just as strong on inhaling as it was
on exhaling and all the way through to the
aftertaste. Overall, a very well-rounded
e-liquid. Described as a sugary, fruity candy, there
were obvious notes of sourness added to
the already delightful mix of flavours. At first,
I felt as if there was a tiny bit of an artificial
taste that I couldn't quite place, however, I
persisted and eventually managed to break
through to the subtle sweetness of the
candy. The fruit side of this flavour was
rather generic, I found it a little tricky to
accurately select specific fruits, but its
likeness to the candy that Diamond Mist
has set out to replicate is uncanny. A mild
and extraordinarily easy to vape e-liquid,
'Rainbow Candy' is going to be a hit with
people who prefer a smooth and fruity
vaping experience.

The first choice for many new vapers,
tobacco flavours can be notoriously difficult
to execute properly. Not my usual go-to
flavour, I was very surprised and impressed
when I began vaping this e-liquid. There was
not much of the burning, smoky flavour that
I had expected, but more so of a warm and
nutty blend of tobacco. It came across as
being rich and whole tasting but had only
the most minuscule, almost unnoticeable
touch of sweetness. I found that this e-liquid
was neither that sweet nor that savoury and
sat balanced somewhere in the middle.
I appreciated the lack of sweetness in this
flavour, as it brought something slightly
different to the table, and safe to say I was
glad to have been able to try it. This e-liquid brings up some nostalgic
memories for me. Cherry menthol was the
first e-liquid flavour I bought, at that stage,
I had never vaped before, so did not know
what to expect. In between that time and
now, I have only vaped a cherry menthol
flavour once or twice, after realising it may
not be the right on for me. However, after
receiving 'Toonz', a 20mg salt nicotine cherry
tunes flavoured e-liquid, I became excited
and apprehensive to try it out once again.
Despite using this e-liquid in a simple pod
system, you still get massive amounts of
flavour. There are prominent notes of juicy,
sour cherry, closely followed by a strikingly
icy menthol. Not an incredibly complex
set of flavours, however sometimes less is
more. The flavours are well-executed and
do the job. I really enjoyed the surprisingly
powerful flavour you get when using this
e-liquid on a pod device, and the 20mg salt
nicotine was the perfect amount. This e-liquid was the first raspberry menthol
flavour I have ever tried, so I had no idea
what to expect. There was an initial taste
of a raspberry candy that almost reminded
me of a bubblegum flavour. Almost
immediately, a strong and potent edge of
cool menthol came in to play and nearly
overpowered the raspberry entirely.
The menthol also remained quite dominant
during and after exhaling. To me, the overall
flavour reminded me a little bit of cough
sweets.
The fact that this was a 20mg salt nicotine
e-liquid made it ideal to use with a mouth-
to-lung (MTL) device and only needing to be
used sparingly due to the high strength, but
without the unpleasant and harsh throat hit
you would get with free base nicotine.
