AMIGHTY KIT Device Specifications: Dimensions: 88 x 51 x 31mm Battery capacity: 1x 21700/20700/18650 cell Power output: 5-100W/5-60W (TC mode) Resistance range: 0.1Ohm-3.0Ohms Tank Specifications: The Amighty feels like a spiritual successor to the Colossal, which was a compact single 18650 device tailored to low-mid wattage vapers. Embracing the changing habits of enthusiasts, the Amighty is 21700 compatible, which should be a huge selling point for many. Diameter: 27mm E-liquid capacity: 3.6ml Drip tip: 810 fitting - Build quality - Comprehensive chipset - Great coil performance - Asmodus mods have always been an interesting proposition in that they offer high quality products, at marginally higher than average prices, and since budget mods are getting better by the day, this veteran company now has to work harder than ever to compel consumers to part with that extra money. Conservative temperature control Tolerances are spot on. The fire button has a satisfying tactile feel and the battery door is both convenient and secure. The device is available in a range of finishes, but ours came in the polished gunmetal and it absolutely looks like a premium device. This isn’t the smallest single 21700 device we’ve seen, but the ergonomics here are great and the mod has a satisfying weight, so it’s a pleasure to use. The GX-100UTC chipset should be quite familiar to fans of Asmodus. It has the same touch screen controls found on the Minikin series of devices, along with an array of settings. Temperature control, power curves, preheat settings and menu customisation are all available here, making it an enthusiast’s delight. Power delivery is consistent and immediate, and I found that temperate control worked nicely, if a little conservative, right out of the box. Picky vapers can fiddle with TCR and preheats to really dial in their vape, so I have nothing to complain about here. Some may have preferred physical buttons over touch screen navigation, but Asmodus have done a good job of increasing responsiveness and I didn’t encounter any problems during testing. Asmodus chips have always been known for excellent battery management, and the addition of 21700 compatibility makes this even more apparent. Using a 4000mAh Molicel I was making it through an entire day of vaping at 50W with some power to spare, which is very impressive for a single-celled device. Viento Tank The Viento is Asmodus’ first step into the mesh sub-tank market and since this has become one of the most saturated parts of the vaping sector, it has to be very impressive in order to stand out. The included mesh coils are indeed quite unusual. The first thing you’ll notice is the perforated cotton layer which sits behind the wicking ports. I’ve not seen this before, but this should increase surface area and therefore wicking action. The mesh itself is also different, with a fine honeycomb pattern instead of the standard grid or chain-link style. The result is a mesh coil that performs wonderfully at slightly lower wattages than its competitors. Asmodus list the power range from 40-60W and I found this to be accurate, with a personal sweet spot of 55W. These coils are also baby beast compatible. The tank itself is nicely built, with good tolerances on the threads, airflow control and top-fill mechanism. There are three large air inlets on the base of the tank. VM22 | 167
