Custard is arguably the king of desserts
in the vaping world, but when it comes
to salt nicotine e-liquids designed for
low power devices, they sometimes fall
short of the mark. That’s not the case
here. Normally custards are quite a heavy
profile, but Diamond Mist have gone for
a slightly more laid-back approach. The
top note is a mellow vanilla, which adds
brightness without dominating the blend.
This is supported by a creamy custard
base, which has some eggy notes for
authenticity, but not to the extent that you
may expect from a traditional custard mix.
The result is a nicely balanced custard
with great all day vape potential for
dessert lovers. Another simple tobacco blend from the
Diamond Mist salt line. This follows on
from Silver Mist and adds just a touch
more complexity to the profile. In addition
to the sweet smokiness of the previous
blend, Gold & Silver has a deeper nut
note and tangibly more gritty texture
when it comes to mouth-feel. I personally
found that this particular blend packed
a slightly increased throat hit compared
with some other tobaccos, which could
well be a desirable trait for some. Another
solid choice for newer vapers making the
switch. Toonz is based on the flavour profile of
a mentholated cherry sweet, with a twist.
This has become a staple in the e-liquid
market, and for good reason; when done
right, it’s a simple but satisfying vape that
acts as a fantastic palate cleanser and
is particularly suited to those making the
transition from smoking. The top note
here is a potent medicinal cherry, which
dominates the mix. It’s a touch sweeter
than what is normally found in this kind of
profile, but that’s a welcome bit of variety
from the standard fare. This is accented
by a moderately strong aniseed, which
should be familiar to many vapers. The
blend is finished with an intense menthol.

Tobacco flavours are a bit of an oddity, as
they usually appeal to one of two distinct
kinds of vaper; those who are making the
transition from smoking, or tobacco flavour
enthusiasts seeking complex blends.
Silver Mist seems to be the kind of tobacco
vape that would be suited to the former.
This is a fairly sweet but strong profile,
with moderate smoky notes and a touch of
nuttiness. There’s not too much going on
here to confuse the palate, but it conveys
the experience of Virginia style tobacco
rather well. A good choice for new vapers
who are looking for something familiar. A very simple blend from the Diamond
Mist Salt line. We see a wide range
of cola profiles in vaping, and this is
decidedly of the candy variety. A sweet
gummy cola makes up the entirety of
the mix, without any of the citrus accents
that are sometimes found in these kinds
of profiles. This gives the mix a sticky
mouth-feel, which is rather true to life. For
those that are in search of a basic candy
flavour this is a worthy option. Do you like menthol? Do you like menthol
so much that it’s all you vape? Look no
further than this offering from Diamond
Mist. In my time reviewing e-liquids, I
have had the pleasure of trying many
straight menthol blends, but this one is
the most intense of them all. Upon vaping
Iceberg Menthol, expect your sinuses to
be totally cleared, and to feel like you’ve
just been kicked in the throat by a polar
bear. This is certainly not for the faint of
heart, but it does what it says on the tin
and clears the palate extraordinarily well.
