“ WE NOTICED LOTS OF PEOPLE WANTED TO VAPE CBD BUT DIDN’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT VAPING AND WERE OVERWHELMED WITH SO MANY KITS AND WERE PUT OFF BY COMPLICATED KITS AND CHANGING COILS. The US cannabis industry is a good few years ahead of ours for obvious reasons and many companies have developed their products over a number of years. Differing regulations mean that it’s not as easy as just selling existing products in new territories. But many high-quality US-made products are on-sale in the UK and were on display at the expo. Sun State Hemp is well-established in the US. The company offers a wide range of CBD products, including bath bombs, creams and supplements. Their edibles were perhaps the biggest draw, most notably among them, vegan CBD gummies. A stone’s throw from Sun State was the Jammin CBD stand where customers competed to win over £500 worth of products with their fun ‘Stack ‘Em High’ challenge. Of the products available, I was most interested in their CBD pod. ” Director Bapander Singh said: “We noticed lots of people wanted to vape CBD but didn’t know anything about vaping and were overwhelmed with so many kits and were put off by complicated kits and changing coils. “After many months of working on our CBD POD we launched our kit in September at a networking event in Central London and the feedback we got was absolutely amazing and people loved the fact it was so simple to use with no pressing button, not having to change coils and that it was smooth on the throat.” The expo certainly faces more competition than it once did. Many in the industry who I’d spoken to previously had expressed an interest in the forthcoming CBD and Hemp Expo and some smaller events that have sprung up in recent years. Nonetheless, Vaper Expo UK continues to be a major draw for businesses looking to get ahead in this emerging industry. Long may it continue. VM20 | 123
