SHENZHEN ECIG EXPO , CHINA - APRIL 14-16 DISCOVERING ANOTHER WORLD
Vapouround ’ s largest presence at a Chinese vape show to date was at the IECIE in Shenzhen . Given the language barrier , we hired three translators to help explain our varied brands to both consumers and trade visitors alike .
One of the trio is Connie , a journalism student based in Guangzho – the third biggest city in China – and this is what she had to say about her first IECIE experience .
I am used to seeing people smoking cigarettes . I knew very little about vaping until I came to spend three days with Vapouround in Shenzhen .
I attended the IECIE vape fair April 14 – 16 and before I got there I had no idea what to expect .
This must be one of the biggest vape expos in mainland China and it made me realise just how vast the global vaping industry is .
There were plenty of vape lovers and merchants gathered here to enjoy the magic of vape . If you are used to people smoking , then the first thing you notice with e-cigarettes is that there is no terrible smell that you get with cigarettes .
There is a smell because vape liquids come in many diversified flavours and the aroma is very pleasant indeed .
Also , there is a big difference in the flavour preference among the different markets . For example , Chinese customers tend to prefer mint or light sweet-fruit flavours while Germans prefer stronger and sweeter flavours .
Another thing that I wanted to share is the emergence of vape tricks performances at shows like this . Vape tricks are becoming more popular and it is all about performance and competition to be better than the others . It has already formed a new culture in young people around the globe .
Through watching these performances , I can strongly feel the attitude from the youth , powerful and unique . They want to be different . I am sure this kind of concept will be accepted by more and more people in the future .
In the end I learned a lot about vaping and I really want to thank everyone at Vapouround for making this possible for me and for allowing me to know another world which I had never experienced before .
I was mainly based with Dave on the Easysnap stand and when we were not busy talking to people at the show , he filled me in on the development of the vape industry and explained about Vapouround Magazine .
I learned that it can be really important in helping people to give up smoking and then in gradually reducing the amount of nicotine they need over time . This can be helpful to smokers who want to give up and can really make a huge difference to their lives and health .
