Johnnie Lovell to front our new YouTube juice review and vaping videos It was just another day at the office until just one question from my boss changed all that. On the face of it, this was a really innocuous question: “Would you like to interview Johnnie Lovell?” ‘Johnnie,’ I thought. ‘Johnnie...’ “Oh, the guy from Vaper Expo? Yeah, sure.” It turns out that interviewing Johnnie is something of a rite of passage at Vapouround. It also turns out that Johnnie Lovell is more than just 'the guy from Vaper Expo’ who bounds around the stage like an excitable puppy, pumping up the crowd and dishing out goodies. This year, Johnnie will co-host the Vapouround Awards for a third time. And now he's been signed up for a new role - fronting our YouTube vaping videos. Vaping YouTubers broadly fit into two categories: you have the casually-dressed, middle-aged man methodically reviewing liquids and mods from his living room. Then there’s the zany and intense archetypal vaper in a snapback, shelf after shelf of mods and e-liquids behind him, excitedly shouting at the camera. Johnnie does not fit into either of these categories but he certainly has an 180 | VM15 abundance of excitement, passion and humour. The videos will bring out his trademark humour and hyperactive intensity but also his attention to detail and visible passion for vaping. Anyone who has ever met him, or just spoken to him on the phone will know that he likes to laugh. However, as funny as he is, he also takes his job very seriously, and for Vapouround editor Paul Caplin, this was an opportunity too good to miss. Paul said: “I watched one of the videos Johnnie did for BH Vape and I loved it straight away. He’s well-known and loved throughout the industry thanks to his work at Vaper Expo UK and the Vapouround Awards, but I was really impressed by how he came across on camera.” Shortly after Paul saw the video in question, we linked to it on Facebook and Instagram and it soon became apparent that our followers found it as hilarious as Paul did. It’ll come as no surprise that Johnnie is as excited about his new role as we are. "We started making videos just for the hell of it, figuring that we’d do it for a few months to see what happened. We wanted to offe r something new – content that was as entertaining as it was info rmative. I’m obviously very enthusiastic about vaping and how it can help people but, at the same time , I acknowledge that it can take itself a little too seriously sometim es. I sent Paul our most recent vide o and he totally ‘got it’. I’m really look ing forward to working with Vapour ound to help bring the magazine to life." Stay tuned to our YouTube channel and social media feeds for more hilarious and informative videos from the friendly face of vaping himself, Mr Johnnie Lovell.
