This has been a particularly busy couple of months for us as we attended shows in the USA (ECC California and World Vaper Expo in Miami) Canada, Colombia and China. We are also preparing for our own presence at Vaper Expo UK at the NEC later this month and we are working hard on the official show guide for the event, so it has really been all hands to the pumps here. It is always great to catch up with old friends when we go abroad and also to make new ones and the enthusiasm and creativity we see as we travel the world never ceases to amaze me. Back home it is interesting to see how the market has adapted to the full implementation of the TPD and the 10ml bottle size rule. As ever with regulation this has not been without controversy. Some companies have gone down the route of becoming fully compliant while others have chosen to metaphorically stick two fingers up to the regulators by selling large zero nicotine bottles and separate nic shots. You can’t blame people from taking advantage of loopholes in the regulations but it must be really frustrating to those companies who have complied by the rules when they see others flaunting them so openly. Time will tell whether this particular loophole will eventually be plugged but, for now at least, it is certainly good news from the consumer’s point of view. I mentioned the Vaper Expo earlier and while we have some exciting plans for that event I would love to share them with you but they are still in our file marked ‘top secret.’ All I can say is that our brand new double-decker bus will be there and this will be the first chance for many people to check it out. Just make sure that between October 27 and 29 you are at Vaper Expo if you possibly can be because this is always one of the highlights on the annual vaping calendar. In this issue we have all our regular features and all the great vaping coverage you have come to rely on. Check out our feature on using social media to grow your business and our article on how vaping has integrated itself into popular culture. Until next time.
