DESIGN
SO HERE IT IS GUYS,
THE MAGNIFICENT G-PRIV BY SMOK.
AND DOESN’T SHE LOOK WONDERFUL.
This little guy is a super reactive touch-screen device with all the power
you need for an excellent vaping experience (a whopping 220w) as well
as a super cool design and easy interface.
The G-PRIV features a huge 2.4 inch OLED touch screen on the main
face of the mod and a large fire bar on the side similar to alternate
Smok models such as the popular Alien. There is another small button
which is placed above the fire bar, this has a capability of turning the
OLED off or locking the touch screen which is a massive plus to this
design. Very cool and very needed with a touch device. The model I’m
reviewing today has a metallic orange and black finish with a matching
TFV8 Big Baby (also included). If that isn’t cool enough the device has
a brilliant carbon fibre (more upgrades available) design battery cover
that fits flush with the design, has no rattling and an excellent hold!
The interface of the design has a simple graphic layout and is very
responsive. This must be the best touch screen mod I have used to
date as it has a spacious layout and responds immediately. It is similar
to your smart phone to put it into perspective. The main screen has a
clean identity featuring the time, live battery display, wattage, puff timer
and counter, amps, volts and resistance.

USABLILITY
The menu on this device again is clean and features VW, TC, max puffs
and of course settings which progress into in-depth sub menus. The
good thing with these menus is they all have an activation tab so at any
point you can play and not make the changes live until you are ready,
pretty awesome! The menu settings can get a bit small which is a slight
nag if your fingers are big but with a bit of focus its not a problem.

The variable wattage modes have soft, normal, hard and max outputs
and all work pretty well with clear differences. TCR mode has some
pre set up features such as pre heat settings making vaping more
controllable from the get-go. The settings menu features your usual
time and date, model details and a factory reset which is good to clear
updates and unwanted pre settings.
Overall the device is a solid build. The G-PRIV really gives an
unmatchable, glitch free experience. Paired with the supplied Big Baby
this wonderful kit produces lovely thick vape clouds crammed full of
flavour, mmm tasty. If you have ever had a bad experience with a touch
screen the G-PRIV will change your mind, it’s excellent.
