OUR STORY

OUr Stabilized WÜD RDA was born out of a larger company , WÜD Real Wood Skins .
Our company began in August 2015 with the ambition to provide every vaper the option to transform their mod into having a high end appearance . We took thin slices of real wood , added a 3M adhesive to the back , and laser cut each finished product to perfectly fit popular mods on the market . We used the same craftsmanship and skill set for that project to create our Stäbwüd RDA .
Although the first stabilized wood RDA is a great accomplishment , we knew our RDA had to go beyond looks and supersede also in functionality . That is why our RDA has a patented airflow bar , unlike any other RDA available on the market . The innovative new design was created by Paige Koontz , WÜD team member . The patented airflow bar allows the user to easily adjust their airflow without disassembling the RDA ( no more getting juice all over your fingers ). On top of having a patented design and being the first company to use stabilized wood on an RDA , we threw in a handful of additional features to ensure our customers receive a top of the line product :
- 22mm Diameter - Velocity Style Deck - Peek Post Insulator - 2.7mm Post Holes - Deep Juice Well ( 7mm ) - 2 Airflow Slots On Each Side - 510 Drip Tip Adapter - Additional Pin ( Bottom Feeding Squonk )

OUR PROCESS

Article by Paige Koontz
“ The process begins with pieces of wood considered rare and unique due to deformities and is restored into a stunning piece of art : the World ’ s First Stabilized WÜD RDA .”
Stabilized wood is not only beautiful , but the techniques used to craft the blocks are equally magnificent . There is only one company that met our standards when purchasing wood for our RDA , Brick City Blocks . The initial development begins with wood that is rare or delicate . The pieces are placed in a vacuum with colored resin . When the vacuum removes all the air , the resin penetrates the wood and transforms those fragile pieces into the strong solid blocks .
Once they reach our Virginia Beach warehouse , we initiate our multi-step process that converts these blocks into the final product . Each block is milled into shape , then sanded by hand through a series of nine steps . The wood is then finished with a strong polymer that artistically highlights the natural grain . Lastly , the wood is superimposed onto the thin metal shell of the RDA . To itemize the true detailing of the time it takes to create one RDA would require a much larger article , but we are certain the product speaks volumes of our efforts .
