I’ve spent a few weeks with this beautiful
gold (black also available) mod now and
I love it. It has quite a kick to it and a
decent amount of customization options.
The design with deep, high-quality
engravings is undeniably eye catching
as I have received many “what mod is
that?” comments while carrying it around
with me. The buttons are flush with the
mod which is great for the aesthetics and
the screen is on the bottom of the mod to
hide it while your mod is just sat on
your desk.
The Plaque is powered by a GX-150HF chip, takes two 18650 batteries (not
included) and has a pass-through for
charging hidden under the battery door.
While powered on, pushing the fire
button five times in succession shows
you a menu with various options and
132 ISSUE 07 VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE
modes. I especially like that you can
inverse the colours of the display and
even flip the display 180 degrees to
make it readable no matter which hand
you’re inclined to use. Within this menu
you also get to pick between Power,
Temp Control, Wave/Pulse, TCF and
TCR modes. Selecting TC mode gives
you the option to pick between Ni200,
SS316 or SS317, just to cover all bases.
I’ve been using this mod with the
asMODus Triad Genesis RDTA and I’ve
been vaping Dinner Lady’s Lemon Tart
juice. The kick I mentioned earlier was
quite a surprise. I started out at around
40w like I usually do and it hit me with
such clout I was literally breathless. Now
I’ve adjusted, I use it at 100w on a 0.17Ω
triple coil build with no problems. Using
the Plaque is a great experience, a little
bulky but that way you notice when its
not in your hand or pocket. The Plaque
fits nicely in my small girlish hands
with no problem and the fire button is
comfortably positioned whether you
prefer to fire with thumb or finger.
Conclusion
After these few weeks with this mod I
can honestly say that I feel lost whenever
I don’t have it with me, and I’m not sure
how I managed this far without such a
great mod. I’m not going to say this mod
is perfect but it most definitely isn’t too
far off. I would highly recommend this
mod to anybody that can afford the $180
(£135) price tag and will offer up a
good, strong.
