EVENTS
We arrived in Paris to a range of
roads that were impossible to cross,
including a barrage of trams coming
from every direction.
There were cars driving like it was going
out of fashion and Harley Davidsons
zooming down the pavement but yet a
spectacularly individual and elegant city
was coming into sight.
The last time I had been to Paris I was
about ten years old and it was Disney
World, so I didn’t have a clue what to
expect this time around.
I was pleasantly surprised by this vast
and vibrant city, brimming with media
types, businessmen, beautiful people
and of course the coolest people on the
planet – vapers - all getting ready for
Vapevent 2016.
We were the official media partners for
the show again, a show which was open
to 10,000 people, and I can honestly say
I had a blast. Four of us at Vapouround
Magazine had the pleasure of staying
for nearly a week in this fast-paced city
which reminded me of a more quaint and
fashionable London.

The event itself was outstanding, the
organisation was perfect and it was a
relaxed, friendly environment, brimming
with the largest brands, to the up and
coming juices and the innovative stands.
We brought boxes full of magazines and
Show Guides which were handed out
to everybody at the show and available
from our stand.
The event was busy the whole way
through, but not so busy that you got
your stand lost. Everybody got a chance
to be seen and this was a b2b event so
it was a nice way to make new contacts
and exchange ideas.
The organisers were extremely helpful
and the whole thing ran smoothly and
without a hiccup.
Credit for this must go to the organisers
who created an environment and layout
that facilitated both an enjoyable yet
productive atmosphere.
I can’t praise this event enough – make
sure that you get this expo, and indeed
any expo involving the organisers, on
your calendar.
Whilst in Paris, we were invited to
“WE WERE THE
OFFICIAL MEDIA
PARTNERS FOR THE
SHOW AGAIN, A SHOW
WHICH WAS OPEN TO
10,000 PEOPLE, AND I
CAN HONESTLY SAY I
HAD A BLAST.”
‘A Billion Lives’ film premiere and after
party, where we were greeted with
champagne, cheese platters and
vape experts.
This was a fantastic film, extremely
informative and moving - starring the
model and face of the Winston cigarettes
who switched to vaping after twenty or
more years of smoking.
This was a must see film for everyone not just for vapers or smokers.
