Fairhurst, co-founder of VapeCollective is an early vaping adopter. He took up vaping in 2013 and is now a full time vaper keen to spread the word about vaping and its benefits. His foray in the vaping industry saw him start as a reviewer, stemming from his frustration at the poor quality of e-liquids available at that time. Word spread about his honest reviews and hard-hitting features, and after building a loyal social media following, it wasn’t long before Damon was the go-to voice in the vaping community. From there, becoming a vape festival organiser was a natural progression. Seeds for Doncaster’s first vape festival were actually sown way back in 2014. Damon had originally started off helping the festival with administration, social media and event management. VapeCollective came about through the collective passion of vapers who were keen to uphold the ethos of being a non-profit, pro-UK organisation. With many festivals attracting a global crowd with international exhibitors, it was VapeCollective’s clear objective for the spotlight to be on UK businesses. Reflecting on the festival, Damon said: “With over 2000 vapers in attendance, it was a great event. The only way is up for VapeCollective – next year will be bigger and better than ever. We have asked for feedback and taken comments on board. There were a few teething problems, including an online glitch for ticket sales, but this was quickly rectified with the efficient release of an informative statement. “We strive to provide the best service and vaping experience. We are looking into a full rebrand, so watch this space for some very exciting news. On behalf of VapeCollective, I’d like to thank the fantastic vaping community which we are proud to be a part of.” To find out more about Damon Fairhurst, follow him on Twitter @ TheGrumpyVaper.
