P.O.E.T Electronic Nectar is a Californian
company that produces a number of
bespoke eLiquids. They like to focus on
'excellent taste and creating unique and
exotic flavour profiles that our customers
and the Vaping community might not
normally see and or try.' Just by having
a look at the bottles of eLiquid I received
from this company, I can say they are
most definitely one of a kind!
The bottles I have are 30ml made from
dark glass, with child-resistant dropper
caps, and feature rather plain but
effective label design. They get their
branding across well, whilst retaining
the fact that these juices are not aimed
towards young children. All bottles I
received were 3mg/ml of nicotine and
were all 70% VG.
Sweet Honey Cream
When smelling 'Sweet Honey Cream',
I could pick up on an almost fruity tone
mixed with honey. When vaping, the
honey itself is not plain or average
whatsoever, but a blend of unequalled
and rather delicate honeys that come
across as fruity and floral. It almost
doesn't even taste like honey, it literally
comes across as sweet flowers that don't
taste perfumey, but more edible!
There is also a satisfying element
of creamy custard undertones that
make the honey more balanced, and
brings it down a notch in terms of how
overpowering the sweetness can get.
I think the careful balance between
the custard, cream and floral honey is
extremely well conducted. If there was
just a tiny bit more honey, I would find
it to be a bit too potent, and if there
was more custard, it would come across
as not so unique anymore, the honey
that’s used in this flavour is unique and
sets this eLiquid apart from the rest! 2/5
Sweet Black Tea
Straight away, I love this flavour! A
refreshingly delicious beverage, it tastes
like it's made with a variety of different
teas, a honey-like sweetness and just a
touch of citrusy lemon. I can also pick up
on a hint of fruitiness that adds a whole
new dimension to this eLiquid.I really like
the added fruit tones because it makes
this liquid more diverse and a 'one of
a kind' sort of flavour. I can see this
being an all day vape, especially in the
summer time. However I can also see,
for some vapers, that this could be a
little overbearing in relation to how sweet
this eLiquid is. In terms of the flavour
matching a real life glass of sweet iced
tea, this eLiquid is spot on.
I thought that this liquid was brilliant and
was pleasantly surprised when trying it
out. I have never had such a one off and
unparalleled flavour before so well done
to P.O.E.T.! 3/5
Grandma's Lemon Cake
I have tried several Lemon Cake variants
in the past year or so, and they were
all rather different. Some were very
'cakey' and left little room for the lemon
flavouring, and others I found to be
extremely lemony, with just a touch of
drizzle cake element to it. However, as
soon as I tried this one from P.O.E.T, I
knew I was on to a winner!
The lemon is sweet and actually quite
smooth, no sour citrus tastes nor any
chemically aftertastes. It is blended very
well with a mild cake flavour, and instead
of them being two separate components,
I felt that they became one. In terms of
it being overwhelming or too bland, this
eLiquid was right in the middle of the
spectrum, making it an ideal flavour to
vape on all day long.
Personally, I think that this eLiquid from
P.O.E.T that I received was my favourite,
I found the flavourings to be in the
exactly right ratios and the fact that it
was so different from many of the other
Lemon Cake vapes out there. 4/5
Bourbon Spice Roll
To be perfectly honest, I am not a huge
fan of alcohol whatsoever, so, when I
first read the name of this juice, I admit,
I was not particularly excited to try it out.
However, I gave it a go.
On inhaling, I tasted notes of spiced
pumpkin pie (one of my favourite
desserts!) plus a touch of realistic
cinnamon - not that nasty, super artificial
and spicy type, but more of a rather mild
dusting of ground cinnamon.
On exhalation is when you can taste the
bourbon. As a non alcohol consumer,
I found that the bourbon was sort of a
generic alcohol taste, as, to me, most
alcoholic flavours taste very similar.
All of the different components were
mish-mashed together, creating a
fantastic overall flavour. This eLiquid was
very well made and it tastes warm and
welcoming. Even though the flavours
make it a great winter time vape, it can
be equally enjoyed any time of year.
I'm glad I gave this eLiquid another go,
as I found it to be much better than what
I first assumed. It was tasty, warm and
very satisfying to vape on. However, I
still feel like the 'Grandma's Lemon Cake'
flavour to be my Number 1 out of this
line! 3/5
