Fried Cream Cake by Liquid EFX
Have you ever tried a Twinkie ? Well , this eLiquid is just that , but without the calories ! This juice comes in a bright yellow box , with images of cakes and red bubble writing . Inside the box , there is a plastic 60ml bottle with a twisty cap and similar graphics to the box it came in . It has warnings and brief information about the juice itself . The juice is a beautiful amber colour and is thick and not watery at all . My juice was 3mg ( it also comes in 0mg and 6mg too ), 60ml and 70 % VG . To smell , it reminded me of a pound cake flavoured juice I recently reviewed . However , the taste was rather different . It always amazes me when I try an eLiquid like this because it literally tastes like somebody got a bunch of fried cream cakes , mixed them in a blender , then popped it into a bottle , ready to vape . It is perfectly made of flavours like fried and battered yellow sponge cake as well as creamy vanilla frosting and a touch of dusted sugar . The cake side of the juice is warm and sweet , a delicious fluffiness engulfs your tastebuds as you inhale . Whilst you are just about to exhale , the smoothness of vanilla takes over the cake flavour and only then will one appreciate the complexity of this stellar eLiquid . You do get a light aftertaste of powdered sugar that rounds off the flavours neatly . 70 % VG seems to be a standard at the moment for higher VG juices , and , personally I prefer 70 % VG , as I seem to get amazing clouds as well as decent flavour . This juice from Liquid EFX lives up to this standard VG : PG ratio , and when trying it , you can tell how well the vapour is produced by the extensive clouds you get when exhaling . This juice is very viscous and only sub ohm set ups or RDAs / RTAs will support this eLiqiud ' s thickness . I used it on an RDA and the clouds were beyond impressive ! A 60ml bottle will set you back around $ 27 ( roughly £ 20 ), which , again is about the average price for a 60ml bottle nowadays . You do get a lot of bang for your buck though , as it is generally more economic to buy one big bottle rather than several small ones . Overall , I was incredibly pleased with this instalment from Liquid EFX , and I still cannot get over the likeness it has with the real fried cake . The taste was simply phenomenal and vapour production was pretty good . Fantastic juice , definitely put this on to your ' To Try List ' if you are a fan of dessert flavours that are not too overpoweringly sweet ! 5 / 5 !
Waffle Stack by Cloud Island Waffle Stack is a premium eLiquid from a Wiltshire based company called Cloud Island . It comes in a 60ml frosted glass bottle , complete with a child proof dropper cap . I thought that the label design probably wouldn ' t appeal to young children , however it does have pictures of strawberries and waffles . Also on the label , there are several warnings about nicotine , a ' No under 18s ' logo as well as PG / VG , nicotine percentage , use by date , batch number and an ingredients list , all very helpful to the consumer . This particular juice from Cloud Island only comes in a 3mg nicotine , as it is designed for sub ohm vaping , and in my eyes this is 140 ISSUE 06 VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE a very good thing as my preferred nicotine level happens to be 3mg . Now , the scent of the juice . Having never tried a waffle flavoured vape ( plenty of pancake ones though ) I thought this juice may have a similar smell to perhaps ' Pancake Man ', however , I felt the waffle one was more of a spicy sweetness than the pancake one . To taste , this eliquid was buttery and not unlike a real waffle that has been smothered in hyper realistic maple syrup . Maple syrup flavours can overtake all of the others in a frenzy of sweetness , but my experience seemed to just be another flavour in a myriad of ingredients . The waffle flavour in this juice tastes light and fluffy with a touch of wholesome dusting of sugar , straight after experiencing the waffle , one can appreciate the almost artificial tang of strawberry syrup – similar to the syrup used in pancake restaurant chains . The strawberry is ripe yet tart , an unassuming sourness that compliments the smooth rather plain accent of waffle . There is a sweet aftertaste of whipped butter , that neatly wraps up the various flavours you get with this juice . The butter is not salty , greasy tasting nor overwhelming , it is simply a unique touch that I admired , as buttery flavours have the potential to go disastrously wrong , but did not in this case . Exhaling , I found all the components of this juice joined together to make a mega flavour , something that should be greatly respected - although I think it got a bit samey after a while , so I couldn ' t use it as an all day vape , however , this is all subjective . Vapour production is rather average for an 80 % VG , still good as it is a high VG juice , but for some reason ( even on an RDA 0.2ohms and 85watts ), they did not blow me away . To summarise , I really appreciated the flavours that this juice displayed , and the clouds were rather satisfactory . I think Cloud Island should be proud of this eLiquid . 3 / 5
