f you just happened to wander into The Vaper Expo off the street
you would not confuse it for a library.
By tradition, live vape events like this tend to be loud and the
music adds to the vibrant atmosphere.
For the consumer days this is exactly what is required but on the
business-to-business day it can get in the way.
Traditionally at Vaper Expo the music volume is muted on the B2B
day but this time around organisers Jay and the team are doing
things a little differently and have implemented a ‘no music’ policy
on the Friday – the Expo’s B2B day.
“In the past we’ve always tried to keep music levels down on a Friday
anyway and we don’t ever have the stage on the B2B day, either. But
we’ve now requested that stands don’t play music, just because it’s
then so easy for everyone to conduct business,” Jay says.
It makes sense, too. For those attending on the Friday in the hopes
of sitting down with exhibitors to talk business, having a quiet space
in which to do so makes everything easier.
But that’s not the only change you’ll notice this weekend, as the hall
will have an entirely new addition to it’s set up, the Seminar Area.
Hosting entertaining and informative talks all weekend from the likes
of the IBVTA, Ashley Hansen and Arcas Compliance, Jay hopes that
everyone can come away from the show having learned something.
He says: “We want people to get more educated; whether that be on
issues of compliance for their e-liquids and hardware, or how the
negative press in the US has impacted UK customers in vape shops.
“We want people just to be reminded to educate their staff and how
to go about doing that.”
It’s an important time to make this change, as education is going to
be the tool that the vaping industry needs the most in the months
and years to come.
Ashley Hansen will be leading a talk on the current situation in the US,
which is a must-hear for anyone who’s both passionate about vaping
and wants to join in defending it.
So, whether you’re here this weekend on business or pleasure you’ll
have the opportunity to come away armed with knowledge from the
best show in town.
