“I love the buzz,
looking into those
beady little vaper
eyes is the best bit.
BRING IT ON I SAY!”
“I am a knowledge seeker and I think critically. Being able to deliver
that to an audience of people who also crave knowledge and have a
passion for our industry is one of the most rewarding experiences of
my life.”
Admitting that hosting expos like this one is the only thing that still
makes her nervous, Ashley assured us when the show starts “that all
instantly goes away and I feel fi re.”
And having Johnnie by her side gives this adventurer all the tools she
needs. “Johnnie is life goals. Seriously.
“Hosting with him gives me the opportunity to feel free and accepted
and sharing our passions with UK vapers together makes me feel united,
like I’m part of something greater.”
And now for a fun one…
And Ashley, in a zombie apocalypse what device and juice would you
arm yourself with?
“A large mod would be an obvious choice for battle reasons but I’m
pretty ferocious on my own. So, for my sanity I’m going to stick with
my go-to, the VGOD Summer Strawberry pod and my faithful MYLÉ.”
Johnnie Lovell - BH Vape
Enthusiastically eccentric and wonderfully weird, Johnnie Lovell has
attended every Vaper Expo, as well as hosting almost every single
one. So, he really knows what makes a good expo great.
He said: “Hosting with Ashley is absolutely fantastic, we’ve got both
sides of the pond on that stage.
“Ashley brings her ‘go get ‘em’ style and Californian sunshine to the
stage and I think I pump her up with a bit of British humour.”
However, being a host isn’t that easy and Johnnie tells us it can be
daunting as expectations are always high. But as a self-confessed
embodiment of vape, Johnnie Lovell is the man for the job.
“I’m an upholder of the word vape; I’m Virile, I’m Adaptive, my
Personality is great and I’m an Extrovert. I am V-A-P-E”.
Eager to see the passion and developments in the industry, Johnnie
likens his role to being the caretaker of Vaper Expo.
“From my wonderful position as host, I can hear and see interactions.”
“I get a snifter of everybody’s passion, and then if I can, I pass this
information back to the general public or to the manufacturers and
tell them what people are looking for.”
And one conversation he expects to be prominent at this expo is the
latest on the US flavour ban.
“Everything that happens in America does ricochet here, it bounces
off the walls of the European community and we all feel it.
“I think the Americans and anyone else having these troubles should
sit down with the British and look at the TPD and get some results
from it.”
Forever optimistic, Johnnie feels expos like this could be the cure, spreading
education and awareness, and he thinks the vaping community are up to
the challenge.
“I think the spread of word, the energy and the power that is inside the
NEC for this fantastic Expo can be spread like butter across the rest
of the country, and even the world.”
But conjuring up some serious solidarity against the flavour ban is
not the most important aspect to this expo according to Johnnie:
having frenzied fun is.
And now for a fun one…
Johnnie, you’re trapped on a desert island. Which three people from
the vape industry would you want by your side and why?
“I would like my dear partner Lorna because she is my vaping
industry. Nathan from Vampire Vape because he is very, very much
fun. My last person would be Alan from Vape Mate, because from
the beginning he has been a blast of coffee to the vaping industry.”
